If you run ads on Facebook, you have probably noticed that while your campaign is on, you can still check its efficiency in page analytics. But once the campaign is over, the results are gone. Here are some simple steps that will show you how to check Facebook ad analytics even if you ran them several months ago:
1. Log in from your laptop. Click on an arrow at the top right of your page. Then click on the business page that you’re managing.
2. Now click on Insights:
3. Now click on Promotions, scroll down and click on Facebook Ads Manager.
If you have promotions that are currently running, you will see them in the section above. But if you are not running any promotions now and want to check how successful your past campaigns were, it’s best to do it in Ads Manager.
4. Now click on the “Ads” tab and select the time frame you want to see the results for.
This is the tab where you will be able to check the efficiency of all your Facebook campaigns. When selecting a time frame, feel free to choose Lifetime option if you just started your business not long ago.
5. Check the Account Overview tab. It will give you ideas how to improve your further campaigns.
Here is an example. I tested some campaigns for a couple of days. Here is what I’ve learned from the Age and Gender statistics: men have a higher post engagement with my ads (91% men vs 7% women). I can also see that men who are between 25 to 44 respond to my ads better than other age groups. So it’s a hint for me that next time I may get a better return on my ads if I target men only that are between 25 to 44. In any case, it makes sense to run such test ads for a day or two to see which groups respond better and then target these groups specifically. This saves a lot of money in the long run.
I hope these tips will help you manage your Facebook ads and improve their efficiency. If you’re thinking of outsourcing your social media check here how we can help.
